KitCheck Recognized as Industry-Leading Vendor for Kit and Tray Management.

65% of participants consider KitCheck to be the top industry leader

Washington, D.C. – (June 10, 2022) – Bluesight, the leading automation vendor in Medication Intelligence™, was recently featured in a recent survey done by Becker’s Hospital Review. Becker’s Hospital Review is one of the go-to sources for decision-makers in healthcare, with over 68,000 readers. The survey sought to better understand practitioners’ attitudes towards kit and tray management as well as how they research and choose a vendor.

The survey included results from 95 unique provider organizations and over 100 respondents.

The most telling fact from the survey was among hospital systems that use a vendor for kit and tray management, KitCheck leads the market at 51%. Results showed that 65% of providers consider KitCheck the industry leader.

When asked about the potential for improvement in medication management, participants responded that multiple technologies could play a role in improvement, including data analytics, automation, cloud-based inventory management, and RFID medication tracking.

Healthcare has changed over the course of the pandemic, more hospital systems are looking into adopting technology and automation into their workflows.

When researching and choosing a vendor, results found that peer recommendations were the most important factor among providers in researching while social media was the least important. This shows hospital leaders prefer traditional methods like hearing from their colleagues and peers.

The survey also found that ease of use and implementation speed was rated as the highest value when considering a vendor. For organizations that have yet chosen a vendor, system standardization was a major driving factor.

“KitCheck has always been a leader in the RFID space,”  said Kevin MacDonald, co-founder, and CEO of Bluesight. “We look forward to bringing our solution to more hospitals and increasing the use of RFID in the healthcare space”.
