Kit Check’s Director of Clinical Strategy appointed to ASHP National Advisory Group.

Kit Check, the leader in Medication Intelligence™ solutions that bring cost savings, efficiency, and patient safety to hospitals, announced Jennifer Splawski, PharmD, MS, BCPS – Director of Clinical Strategy was appointed to serve on The American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) National Advisory Group on its Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology (SOPIT) Section Advisory Group (SAG) on Professional Development.

 

Dr. Splawski has over 10+ years of hospital pharmacy experience including serving as Clinical Coordinator at Loyola University Medicine – MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, IL. She has received her Bachelors of Science degree in psychology from the University of Illinois, her PharmD from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her Masters of Science degree in Pharmacy focusing in Toxicology from the University of Florida. She has completed a postgraduate year one residency at the University of California at San Francisco and is a Board-Certified Clinical Pharmacy Specialist.

 

She is an expert in diversion prevention and now works closely with Kit Check’s diversion prevention solution Bluesight for Controlled Substances.

 

ASHP serves as a collective voice of pharmacists who serve as patient care providers in hospitals, health systems, ambulatory clinics, and other healthcare settings spanning the full spectrum of medication use. Today, ASHP has over 60,000 members including pharmacists, student pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians.

 

The main focus of ASHP’s Section Advisory Group is the development of recommendations to assist pharmacists in the design, implementation, interoperability, and use of clinical applications. SOPIT connects specialists in the practice of pharmacy informatics to share common professional interests and goals. Through collaboration, SOPIT provides a collective voice on best practices and issues related to health information and technology.
